Got a very late start today and then had to stop early
because of the strong winds which were throwing us around the road. It took 5 hours to go 170 miles and then we’d
had enough and stopped at the KOA 30 miles south of Minneapolis.
Still we had a nice stop in Fairmont at a marina. It’s a shame it was too early for lunch as it
would have been a great place to eat, sitting outside looking over the river
(even with the wind).
It’s great to see so many lakes, rivers and trees. Another great thing is that we have escaped
the heat and are now in upper 70’s and low 80’s – a very pleasant temperature. Here's a wonderful view as we went up the road.
Tomorrow we’ll see if we can find the Mall of America it
should be half an hour up the road.
Coincidentally, noticed that you're near the headwaters of the Mississippi in Saint Anthony Falls in Minneapolis. I may someday take a cruise down that river... G
