June 16 - Flagstaff AZ

Here we were this morning, closing everything up ready to go forward with the day.  I went to the front of the RV to put something away in the storage area and a bird flew right past my ear!  Yikes, I screamed for Norm who of course, laughed like crazy.  His strategy – first, close the blinds of all windows that have screens; second, open the screen door in the back and the driver and passenger doors; third, approach slowly and encourage it to escape; which it did – it flew out the back door.  Of course, he had to take a couple of photos before doing anything.

After a late start, we toured the historic downtown Flagstaff which primarily consisted of late 1800 buildings and then had lunch in an Irish pub which didn’t seem very Irish to us, really more of a sports bar.

Then we went to the Lowell Observatory who had an exhibit of space suits – interesting.

The big deal today really was shopping and laundry.  Pretty relaxing day and now we sit outside enjoying the lovely temperature and listening to Pandora on the computer.
