June 21 - Taos NM

Well, we gave the RV and the keys to Heckyl & Jeckyl.  Sure hope we see the RV tomorrow and that it really is fixed!

We rented a car and spent the morning exploring downtown Santa Fe.  It is very picturesque and quaint with high end boutiques.  Got to see the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi which was stunning and San Miguel Church, which is the oldest (built in 1610) active church in the US.

After lunch we drove to Taos – an interesting drive.  When we first were coming into Taos, we both felt like we were in Tijuana (albeit a much cleaner Tijuana) for some reason.  We had in our minds that Taos would be like a miniature version of downtown Santa Fe but it is definitely not that.  We are staying in the Kachina Lodge and it’s an interesting place.  In the evening there was an Indian dance performance on the grounds.

Tomorrow we hope to do some touring in the area before heading back to Santa Fe and a hopefully fixed RV.
