Today was a freeway day – s-o-o-o-o boring but we did some
good mileage!
We did do a detour to Frankenmuth which is a beautiful
Bavarian town. We could have stayed
there for a while it was so lovely.
There was a river cruise with a paddle boat but unfortunately there was
a misunderstanding on the times and so we decided we couldn’t wait around for
an hour and a half in order to take the tour.
Come to find out we could have jumped on one right away and done the
hour tour – blast! As we were leaving
town we passed the Christmas Shop which is actually what Frankenmuth is famous
for but we didn’t stop; don’t think Norm was too thrilled at the idea of a
Christmas store.
One of the things I find so terrific in Michigan is the
roadside park. They have these little
parks every so often on the roads – very cute and a good stopping point for
lunch or just a break.
