We took the North Scenic Highway today which goes from
Duluth MN to the Canadian border. It is
very picturesque and fun stuff to explore which is why we only went 93 miles
today.
Stopped for lunch at the Vanilla Bean in Two Harbors and had
an unusual meal: a ligonberry
burger. A burger topped with sour cream
and ligonberries – too scrumptious!
At about 3 pm we looked for a place to stop and stumbled
upon Lax Lake Resort which is exactly the sort of place photos are taken of to
encourage people to camp. Campsite right
beside the lake, literally 15 steps away and just gorgeous. We saw a seaplane land in front of us and
then take off again.
We need to figure out what’s going on with the internet
though. Now Norm’s laptop won’t connect
either. Well, tomorrow we’ll be in
Thunder Bay and with any kind of luck someone at PC Medic will be able to sort
out the two laptops. The Wi-Fi at this
campsite is very poor and intermittent so we can’t depend on anything.
