July 6 - St.Ignace MI

Didn't leave Wawa until 11 am as we had to look around and definitely couldn't miss Canada's largest Canada goose.

Saw a moose beside the road as we were going down the TransCanada highway heading to Lake Superior Provincial Park.  We stopped at the visitor center and got an education on the area.
It was a lovely ride to Sault Ste Marie and we stopped in many places to see wood carvings and Indian jewelry and other goods.

After crossing the bridge to the US we went to see the Soo Locks and got to watch a huge ship go through one of the locks.   It reminded us of our lock experience in Petersborough , Ontario last year.

As we were driving down to Mackinac Island we saw a fox just ambling along beside the road!   We were very surprised at how quiet the road was considering it is the July 4 weekend.

Don't seem to be able to connect to WiFi here so this is posted via phone.
PS 7-7 am:  Got connected and was able to upload photos - yah!!

Yikes!  Forgot to mention that Doug took us to the Terry Fox Scenic Lookout - wonderful place!
